Carlos Cordero participa la Tranining Session February 2015, del proyecto Human Rights in Business

The Institute of democratic governance, Globernance, based in Donostia-San Sebastián (Spain), He is currently the project Human Rights in Business, the Civil Justice Programme of the European Union-funded. During the days 19 and 20 the first Training Session took place, February, of the four that is composed.

In this first session, the participants worked on six case studies raised by the rapporteurs on cases of violations of human rights by multinational companies. On the basis of the main current controversies on the issue of business and human rights, sessions allowed to work with participants to generate skills and knowledge about the challenges and legal practice for access to justice by victims.

Human Rights in Business is a two-year program (2014-2016), that puts focus on the development of knowledge and skills around the mechanisms for access to remedy in the context of the EU by victims of environmental abuse and human rights abuses by companies in third countries, the obstacles and possible solutions. The project aims to work with the stakeholders involved in this type of conflict, and processes: judges, Jurists, activists, representatives of companies and victims. It works on the one hand the generation of knowledge through studies, and on the other at work and practical training of stakeholders of the program.
