Sustentia participates with allied organizations in projects related with the Right of Access to Information:

Access Info Europe
Access Info Europe is a human rights organization dedicated to promoting the right of access to information in Europe and contributing to the development of this right globally.

Formed by European and international experts in access to information to promote the highest standards of government transparency, Access Info Europe pursues its goals through:

  • Promoting the Right to Know: campaigning to promote adoption, reform and implementation of access to information laws within Europe;


  • Developing Best Practices: providing advice and technical assistance to governments on implementation of access to information laws and sharing best practices;


  • Assisting Civil Society: cooperation with and training of civil society organizations to promote use and monitoring of existing provisions on access to information;


  • Fighting Secrecy: advocacy, appeals and litigation to challenge secrecy and other laws which neuter, dilute or conflict with access to information.


  • Exchanging Know-How: sharing information, expertise and experiences on the right to know with national and international NGOs, national freedom of information commissioners, governments and intergovernmental organizations.


  • Access Info Europe is a member of the Freedom of Information Advocates Network.



    Open Society Justice Initiative
    The Open Society Justice Initiative, a programme of the Open Society Institute, supports legal reforms related with the defense of Human Rights, generates knowledge and promotes a legal framework which helps democracy in the whole world.

    The Justice Initiative works based on an empiric practice and on the judicial and political impact, altogether with the spread of knowledge in the following specific areas: national reform of the penal justice system, freedom of information and expression, anticorruption, and equality and citizenship.

    FOI Advocates Network
    The Freedom of Access to Information Advocates Network (FOIA Network) was created for the need of information exchange between Civil Society Organizations working in the access to information area, and to provide the development of united projects. The FOIA Network helps the Civil Society Organizations realizing campaigns and supporting fonds capture through the exchange of information, ideas and strategies, and creating a cooperation forum. The FOIA Network creates alliances between Civil Society Organizations for discussing matters about access to information, both in a local and in an international level.

    Press and Society Institute
    The Press and Society Institute - IPYS based in Lima, Peru - is an organization that promotes freedom of information and independent press since 1993. Makes reports about the press situation and the freedom of expression in thirteen latin-american countries. Besides, it has an Access to Information Boureau (OACI) which promotes transparency in the public management, and the use of access to information procedures.

    Calandria
    The Social Communicators Association "Calandria" is an organization which understands that without mutual recognition and dialogue, people cannot improve their live quality in a sustainable manner. One cannot be without the others, and communication puts forward this meeting.

    To contribute to the dialogue between institutions, organizations and society groups. To make visible those sectors and themes publicly banished. To develope communication and influence capacities over the State and the public opinion.
