Sustentia participates in the elaboration of the bread company and human rights in Chile

As a continuation to a first technical assistance in the second half of 2016 to the Directorate of human rights of the Ministry of foreign relations of Chile to facilitate the participation of stakeholders in the preparation of the Human rights in Chile and national business action plan (BREAD Chile), Sustentia Social innovation continues to support the actors of the process through the elaboration of the 1st draft document.
So taken as reference the different inputs that both the inter-ministerial working group and other actors have been developed to date. These documents include the Review of participatory dialogues on business and human rights in Chile, developed by Sustentia Social innovation based on the inputs collected in participatory dialogues carried out together with the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR), the Country guide business and human rights developed by the DIHR, and the Baseline study developed by the Centre for human rights of the Diego Portales University.
The process to develop the PAN was released by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in a multi-stakeholder workshop in April of 2015, in fulfilment of the mandate taken by Council of Social responsibility for sustainable development, multi-stakeholder initiative headed by the Undersecretary of economy.
Since then, Chile has also been the host country editions of 2016 and 2017 of the Regional consultation for Latin America and the Caribbean on public policies of human rights and enterprises within the framework of the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development organized by the Office for America in the South of the of the United Nations High Commissioner for human rights (OHCHR) and the United Nations Working Group on business and human rights.
The discussions and conclusions of these consultations are also being taken into account at this stage, that the draft document will be worked by members of the by the Interministerial Working Group with the various departments of the Government involved in the final elaboration of the bread of Chile, and the implementation of measures that will eventually contain.
Both technical assistance have been held with the joint funding of Triangular cooperation Spain Chile.
