Video and summary of the Dialogue with experts on the changes in the NFRD / CSRD

The draft of the reform of the regulations on corporate transparency in sustainability issues was presented on 21 April, under the name of Directive on corporate sustainability reports (CSRD). The roadmap set by the European Green Deal and the Sustainable Finance agenda are made up of several moving parts, and the Non-Financial Information Directive is precisely at the center of this ambitious EU plan to assist economic and financial actors in the transition to a sustainable model, responsible and long-term oriented.

He the 29 April Frank Bold (coordinador de la Alliance for Corporate Transparency), Spainsif and WWF Spain organized a dialogue with experts of the business world, investors, political and technical actors, and representatives of civil society who have been actively participating in the European debate that has resulted in this proposal. Juanjo Jordero participated as a panelist on behalf of Sustentia.

During the event, the main changes proposed in the revision of the Directive and the broad ecosystem surrounding the regulations were analyzed to guarantee the advancement and development of the reporting framework information related to sustainability in Europe, including the following questions:

The development of standards, the connection with transparency requirements for investors, the classification of sustainable activities (taxonomy) and the impending proposal on due diligence obligations
What specific data and information do financial actors need and what is the role of forward-looking information (forward-looking) for companies and investors?
Expectations and key issues in the negotiation of the reform
