Due diligence on human rights in LAC: collection of experiences and tools from CERALC / OHCHR

The CERALC / OHCHR team invites you to participate in the collection of business experiences and practical tools on Human Rights Due Diligence.

Ten years after the unanimous adoption of the Guiding principles on business and human rights by the international community, many companies and stakeholders have acquired a deep knowledge and experience on the application of the due diligence on human rights in practice. While challenges persist, there are also innovative processes and strategies to implement this ambitious framework.

Thus, from the United Nations Office for Human Rights (OHCHR), within the framework of Responsible Business Conduct Project for Latin America and the Caribbean (CERALC project), seek to compile business experiences and practical tools on human rights due diligence, that can serve as guidance for companies that want to start and / or improve their human rights due diligence policies and procedures and want to be inspired by real experiences.

Your company or institution can help in this purpose, and from the CERALC / OHCHR team they invite us all to learn more about this initiative and the ways you can:

It is possible to submit more than one contribution, filling in a questionnaire for each of them. The deadline for sending contributions is the 12 July of 2021.

Another good contribution would be share this call through your social networks with counterparts, business partners and any other company or institution that has relevant experience in the matter, or those who are interested in knowing them through this project and its results.
